Up-and-coming DJ/producer Alonz arrives on OMRI.’s (pronounced OMRI dot) Collecting Dots Records for the first time with ‘Rhythm Queen’, a label debut built around tight, rolling club grooves and infectious energy. Continuing the label’s focus on spotlighting artists with a clear, natural club sensibility, the release introduces another new voice into the fold as the label continues to craft a catalogue centred on individuality.
Harnessing a weighty, rolling bassline and tightly wound drums, ‘Rhythm Queen’ locks into a confident groove from the outset. Hooky vocal touches and sharp rhythmic switches give the track its edge, balancing tension and release while keeping things firmly geared towards the floor – a cut that leans on feel and momentum.
