Armin Van Buuren To Keynote at IMS Asia-Pacific along with Indian Represents
The International Music Summit is an Educational, Inspirational and Motivational platform that is dedicated to creating an awareness of and appreciation for electronic music and the artistry related to DJing and all related art forms, through the presentation of summits and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of the genre to art and culture worldwide. IMS was introduced by Pete Tong and was created in 2007 to motivate electronic music producers and promoters to come together and debate, discuss and work toward implementing progressive changes in electronic music. Since, the conference has become widely regarded as “The Premier Platform for Thought and Leadership in Electronic Music” and was also referred as the “TED of music conferences.”
The IMS Asia-Pacific was first held in 2014 at Singapore. The inaugural Asia-Pacific edition found a unique opportunity to gather artists and industry leaders in the Asia-Pacific region to educate the wider world about the opportunity, challenges and current successes of the market. The IMS Asia-Pacific is a one-day summit featuring a series of panels, interviews along with interactive workshops and tutorials as well.
The Grammy nominated and 4 time no.1 DJ in the world Armin Van Buuren is all set to take the stage at IMS Asia-Pacific in a Keynote Interview along with American DJ Kaskade, another EDM powerhouse. Along with other artists such as Sharam, Scarlett Etienne and DJ Tennis, India will be represented by famous underground music promoter Prateek Pandey, the founder of sLick! and artist Akshai Sarin who’s collaborated with the likes of Deadmau5 and Black Eyed Peas.
With the recent splurge of top DJ’s coming down to the country to headline VH1 Supersonic and Sunburn festivals, Indian DJ’s such as Zaeden making it big in the international circuit by collaborating with Borgeous and now with two of our very own artists/promoters speaking at the International Music Summit, it is safe to say that India is cementing its position on the world EDM market!
