To be released on a VA via Eleatics Records on the 3rd November, ‘O Suavitas E Dulcedo’ his a rework of a 500 year old song from Phillipus De Monte, a Mechelen native, where Axel is also from.

It was covered by some famous Opera singers over the years, which is where Axel managed to get the full vocals from for this rework. Axel has some big shows coming up, playing Extrema at ADE, Terra Solis by Tomorrowland in Dubai, Awakefest in Marrakech and D-Club in Lausanne.

BIO – AXEL HAUBE

Axel Haube is an evocative DJ who plays with great control. He hints at where he’s going before pulling back, building tension, and dropping the right record at the right time to send crowds into overdrive. His storytelling sets of melodic and cosmic techno are powered by dark but driving grooves and laced with seductive melodies. Digging deep for unknown musical thrills and hypnotic pleasures is what sets him apart: his atmospheric signature sound makes him a mainstay of the underground who has played everywhere from the Afterlife stage at Tomorrowland to Circoloco Belgium, Hive, Ritter Butzke and Extrema Outdoor.

It’s the same story when in the studio. The Belgian’s music is built on a solid foundation of drums that makes the dance floor move while alluring synth details up top always take the mind away. His tracks are full of curious designs that keep you locked, smooth changes in energy that always keep you guessing, and speak to the mind and soul as well as the body. Whether detailed with an alluring vocal or lit up by immersive pads, his tracks make an indelible impact and have come on labels like Watergate Records, Petit Matin and Future Romance. As well as working solo, Haube collaborates with like-minded artists and his tunes never fail to make their way into influential record bags belonging to the likes of Tale Of Us, Kevin de Vries, Massano and Camelphat.

A young Axel got his first taste for electronic music on long family car journeys listening to his father’s collection. It is the minimalism and emotion of the trance he played that has stayed with him throughout his career: just a year after teaching himself how to beat-match on some old decks, he played the legendary Café d’Anvers in Antwerp aged just 16. Since then he has played every setting possible, from warm-ups to closing, from peak-time festival sets to all-night-long adventures. All this makes him adaptable and dexterous, able to perfectly tune into the needs of the crowd and serve up the exact right sounds from warm and sunny to moody and heads down via high energy and explosive.

These days his own We Are brand hosts high-profile stages at festivals like Ostend Beach, Vaag Outdoor and several other clubs. It is also soon to become a record label and is already an established fashion label that serves up fresh rave couture with stylish designs.

Next up is a superb run of releases including an EP on Labyrinth with remixes from Glowal, VIRSION (aka Joris Voorn) and VNTM, a remix on Edu Imbernon’s Eklektisch, an EP on Eleatics with remixes from The Element and Ivan Masa and plenty more. Each one is another exciting chapter in the ever-evolving story of Axel Haube.Axel Haube.
