Badger returns with new single “Sweet” featuring Chelcee Grimes

One of the most electrifying new names in UK dance music, Badger returns with new single “Sweet” featuring multifaceted singer, songwriter and TV personality Chelcee Grimes.

The track is the first taste of a bold new project dropping this summer. A high-energy, hook-heavy rave anthem, “Sweet” blends Y2K nostalgia, UK club culture, garage, bassline and pop, showcasing Badger’s genre-blurring sound and cementing his place as one of UK dance music’s most exciting new talents.

He said: ‘The moment I heard the vocal, I knew we had a hit on our hands, Chelcee’s lines were gritty but smooth, clean but raw, bitter but sweet. It feels like a summer anthem, one that celebrates self love and independence, one to be danced to or kicked back with. A track to soundtrack your sunshine with.’

In just 12 months, Badger has seen over 40x growth in his fanbase, racked up 170 million Spotify streams with his breakout single “These Words” (A remake of the Natasha Bedingfield classic which is now silver-certified and UK Top 40 for 12 weeks), and sold out headline shows across the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand.

His high-energy performances and genre-blending sound – touching UK Garage, house and nostalgic pop edits –  have earned him slots at Glastonbury, Boomtown and Reading & Leeds but Badger is not only a festival draw he is a studio force, with collaborations spanning from Icona Pop and Julia Wolf to Tinie Tempah and Michael Dapaah.

His latest releases have dominated social media, with tracks like “In My Room” generating over 17 million views on TikTok and organic support from pop culture figures like Ellie Goulding and Chloe Burrows. Whether flipping a moody vocal into a summer garage anthem or reworking a Y2K classic into a global hit, Badger’s instinct for remixing nostalgia with club-ready energy continues to set him apart. With his finger firmly on the pulse of youth culture and a packed release and tour calendar for 2025, Badger is not just riding the wave of UK dance, he’s helping shape where it goes next.
