Based in Baltimore, Bemah is a producer originally from New York making his mark on bass music with a sound that taps into his East Coast roots, an affinity for hip-hop, and mind-bending, experimental influences from deep dubstep. He debuts on Insomniac’s Discovery Project label with his new single. “Fight Night” is a dubstep track created with knockout low-end and heavyweight movement.
Deep piano chords provide a dark, unnerving dissonance while the deep dubstep groove throws combos made of sonar blips, thumping drums, lfo fills, glitchy phrases, and aggressive wubby sound design. The track was the winning submission for the Discovery Project DJ/producer competition hosted for Electric Forest, selected by guest judge Levity. Bemah has released music with Ag, M8trx, and Little Lion, earning recognition from Smoakland, Excision, Zeds Dead, and Effin.
