Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Linda Lo draws on her Mexican heritage and a deep appreciation for sound system culture to create a distinctive blend of Latin rhythms and UK bass music. With roots in her family’s mambo record collection, her sound connects generations of dance music, bringing together the rhythmic traditions of the Caribbean with the low-end pressure of UK garage, dubstep and jungle.

Masa has mambo horn stabs cut through a fiery dubstep groove, samba percussions, rolling basslines and an intricate 2-step rhythm that creates a sound that feels both deeply rooted and entirely her own.
