Following a period of reflection and a recently announced pause from touring and releasing music under their core Booka Shade project after this summer, Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger turn their attention to their Blaufield Music imprint, introducing a new name to the label – Eddie Bizzarre – with his debut single, ‘Count On You’.
The release arrives as Booka Shade begin shifting their focus toward future long-form projects, with Blaufield Music continuing as a platform for emerging artists and fresh collaborations. Eddie Bizzarre first crossed paths with the duo during the early stages of their ‘For Real’ tour. “At the beginning of the ‘For Real’ tour, a young guy with two maracas showed up backstage after one of our shows. He said his name was Eddie. He was from the North of England and tried to convince us that we should produce a track together,” Arno reflects. “At first, we weren’t particularly impressed, but he continued turning up at shows. After finally spending some time with him, we started to notice his raw energy, great ideas, and unique charisma. So we decided to give it a shot. We met up in the studio, started throwing ideas around, and everything immediately felt natural and exciting,” Walter adds.
From those sessions emerged ‘Count On You’, a vibrant, warm and sun-soaked debut that captures the ease and spontaneity of their collaboration, while introducing a new artist to the Blaufield Music family.
