Los Angeles, CA – Friday, October 30, 2026 – Tunisian-born DJ and producer Cera Khin releases ‘Certified Vampire Slayer,’ a five-track EP out now on Mutate Records and her most ambitious project to date. Built around the idea of cutting out forces that drain energy, each track shows a different side of her personality and sound.
Cera Khin brings a unique perspective to club music, shaped by her background in psychology and marketing, her work in mental health advocacy, and time immersed in nightlife while living in Berlin and Barcelona. This focus on mind and body runs through her genre-blending sound, which pulls from hard techno, schranz, acid, hard bounce, psytrance, and more.
The title track ‘Certified Vampire Slayer’ is a hard bounce anthem about shutting out energy-draining people. Sleek spoken-word vocals portray the vampire slayer lifestyle over booming bass, bursts of acid synths, and snappy drums. “I Don’t Date Humans” pairs breathy vocals with a heavy bassline and dark synths for a moody techno cut. The follow-up track “I Don’t Care.” features hypnotic, repeating vocals that grow more intense through a dark build, landing in a bouncy techno drop. Its message is that no one can mess with her energy, regardless of what they say.
The EP continues with “Born to Grow,” a fast-paced track featuring soft UK garage-style male vocals that lead into a drop of shimmering synths and a pounding bassline. The closing track “Forever Young” opens with rapid drums, bright repeating synths, and a deep bassline, as electronic vocals reflect on believing in fairy tales as a kid before the world turned darker. A dramatic, high-energy build leads into a hard-hitting drop of electric synths and driving drums.
Lead singles “I Don’t Date Humans” and “I Don’t Care.” have earned support from Lilly Palmer, Bassjackers, Tiësto, Tim Clark, and XABI Only. Beyond the studio, Cera runs her own label, CK777 Recordings, hosts her CK Invites event series, and leads Technomentalhealth, a platform focused on mental health in techno culture. She has upcoming shows at Escape Psycho Circus, Unreal Germany, Duro Festival, fabric Madrid, Studio 60 Miami, Mia Mao Paris, KALT, and INFERNØ Halloween.
“‘Certified Vampire Slayer’ is one of the biggest projects I’ve worked on so far in my career. The EP features five tracks that I’ve been working on for quite some time, each exploring a different side of my personality.
While every track has its own identity, with subtle differences in sound, mood and energy, they all connect and feel like they belong to the same world. Together, they reflect the different sides of who I am in the most honest way I can express them. I’m really excited to finally share the full project and let people into this world I’ve been building.” – Cera Khin
ABOUT MUTATE
MUTATE emerged at the tail end of 2025 as a response to the accelerating extremes of modern rave culture. More than a live event series, it’s a byproduct of generations of seismic shifts from within the Insomniac ecosystem, operating as a platform for high-intensity electronic music that thrives under pressure. It’s not defined by BPMs or rigid genre conventions. Instead, MUTATE rapidly adapts to new strains of hard techno, schranz, hardgroove, hard house, hard bounce, and adjacent hybrids spawning from the shadows of warehouses and strobe-lit club floors. MUTATE Records extends this philosophy into release form, serving as a breeding ground for producers reshaping the molecular structure of fast-tempo hard dance. With forward-thinking artists like Charlie Sparks and AZYR bubbling inside its nucleus, the newly launched imprint exists to accelerate progression, challenge convention, and keep the underground in a constant state of flux. MUTATE is an agent of change, and it’s spreading past the point of containment.
