Los Angeles, CA – Friday, October 30, 2026 – Over the past year, Max Styler has built his Nu Moda imprint into a hub for trendsetting records, a vision best captured through his ongoing Nexus compilation series, spotlighting boundary-pushing producers. The label returns with ‘Nexus 003,’ a curated six-track compilation that bridges tech house, indie dance, and disco. It features exclusive tracks from Broken Hill, Talón, ROWSEN, blaktone, Fur Coat & Morab, and NO STATIC & Max Cardona.
The compilation leads with a track from Los Angeles producer Broken Hill, a trained audio engineer and analog gear enthusiast known for gritty club productions spanning indie dance, house, and nu disco. “On Top” shows off his technical skill, blending tech house with indie influences. He spent the past six months refining it through his sets, and that care comes through in its shifting chords, sharp synths, warped vocals, subtle woodwind melodies, and lively bongos.
Following suit, Talón’s “The King” continues building momentum with bright synths, a steady four-on-the-floor bassline, and snappy hi-hats under a male vocal, before dipping into an acid-laced breakdown. ROWSEN keeps the groove going with “No Time For That,” a disco-inspired cut that pairs a female vocal with an atmospheric build and a punchy synth breakdown.
Diving deeper, blaktone’s “Cable Bugs” features a crunchy bassline and rolling synths, pausing for a spoken-word monologue in the breakdown before a plucky melody leads the second drop. Next, Fur Coat & Morab’s “Delano Nights” lightens the mood with a full bassline, a feel-good melody, and atmospheric synths.
Closing out the compilation , NO STATIC collaborates with vocalist Max Cardona on “Party Jumpin,” which features her confident repeating vocals, a bouncy bassline, shimmering synths, and chopped samples layered over the pre-drop.
Los Angeles producer Broken Hill continues to garner momentum across the indie dance and house scenes. He has released music with BLOND:ISH, WELKER, Familiar Faces, and DvirNuns, delivered remixes for Kevin McKay and Phantoms, and hit No. 1 on Beatport’s Indie Dance chart with “Goat.” His tracks have earned radio play from BBC Radio 1 and support from Four Tet, Solomun, Adam Ten, Enamour, Super Flu, Innellea, and Clüb De Combat. He has upcoming shows at Spectrum Center with John Summit, Fields of Funk, Soho House London, Q Nightclub, Club Vinyl, Reframe LA, 45 East, Terraza SEDE, and Tokyo Club, making his lead track on “Nexus 003” a strong opener for the compilation.
“‘On Top’ pulls from my favorite parts of indie dance and tech house and lands somewhere right in the middle. I’ve been testing it in my sets for the last six months, and it’s become a super versatile club weapon for me.” – Broken Hill
“‘The King’ was conceived during one of the most challenging periods of my life. The track symbolizes reclaiming my power, rediscovering my identity, and turning adversity into strength. For me, it was about taking the raw emotion of those two difficult years and transforming it into pure dance floor energy, almost like a character in a video game unlocking a new level of power. Ultimately, I hope this track gives others that same sense of strength, direction, and empowerment, reminding them that even through the most difficult times, they have the ability to rise above it all and come out stronger.” – Talón
“I wanted to bring that old-school house feeling into something a bit more modern. A cheeky bassline and a groove that does the work, combined with a rap-style vocal to tie it all together.” – ROWSEN
“‘Cable Bugs’ is a kind of experiment for us. Each of our tracks is a journey and a new incredible experience for us and our listeners, and this track is no exception.” – blaktone
“I’ve known Morab for years — he was on my label back on his previous project. Our paths have crossed many times since, and we always talked about doing a collab. Now, finally, one has come along that brings us together again.” – Fur Coat
“I’ve known Fur Coat for years. We talked about collaborating many times, until I sent him the first idea for ‘Delano Nights.’ Now, finally, one has come along that brings us together.” – Morab
“This track embodies the sound that I have been pushing toward the last year, a solid blend of tech house and indie dance, with a memorable vocal and super catchy synth line.” – NO STATIC
