Returning on Patrick Topping’s Trick for his second solo outing following his 2022 ‘One & Only’ EP, Ōsé brings his darker-leaning take on house & techno to a new high-octane three-track EP. Born and bred in Chicago, the up-and-comer has dropped a string of releases on quality labels such as Arcane, Relief and his own 5150.

Title track, ‘Heavy Metal’ wastes no time in bringing rave-ready energy with its deadly acid-licked bassline and distorted monotone notes before ‘Lend An Ear’ cranks things up a notch, combining driving kicks and bass with claustrophobic synth work. Closing out the EP is the aptly named ‘7 Minutes In Heaven’, a seven-minute techno workout utilising swinging percussion and ominous vocals.
