Born and raised in England, Chris Metcalfe is a seasoned producer currently based in the UAE. Originally earning his stripes as a resident DJ for a UK superclub more than a decade ago, the British talent established himself as a global figure for uplifting trance and driving, emotionally-charged club music. He returns to Dreamstate Records to release his first standalone single. “Take Me Higher” is an uplifting trance track inspired by how music offers reprieve from a mundane routine.

Flickering arps and rich oscillators swirl above tumbling basslines, while the feel-good vocal hooks repeat the title as the track ascends with climbing synth leads and squelchy layers. It follows his label debut from March, “Borealis” from the ‘Convergence’ compilation EP, which drew radio spins from Allen Watts, Steve Allen, Myni8te, Daniel Skyver, Rodman, Paul Steiner, and Michael McBurnie.

Chris has released music with RAM. Ronski Speed, Craig Connelly, Sue McLaren, Katty Heath, with his productions earning heavy support from A-listers like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, and Aly & Fila. He has upcoming festival appearances at Dreamstate SoCal andFuture Sound of Egypt 1000, following recent sets at Ministry of Sound London, and a US tour this year including Beyond Wonderland SoCal, Dreamstate San Francisco, Club Vinyl.
