For the last decade, the producer and live duo have amassed fans worldwide, hundreds of millions of streams, and more than one million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their emotive blend of alt r&b, soul and house comes packed with heart and plenty of club-ready energy, including their latest single ‘Elation’, which captures the rush of joy that comes with falling in love.
Says the pair, “‘Elation’ has always sat somewhere between a song and a club record, built around live instrumentation, a sampled groove and that feeling of completely losing yourself in someone. For the remix, we wanted to find someone who could push it further onto the dancefloor without losing the warmth and emotion of the original.”
That man is Nandu, a Danish artist with a cultured catalogue rooted in rhythm, including big tracks like ‘Dope Dance’ and ‘Sunrise’ and distinctive releases on labels like Innervisions and Human By Default. He says, “After being introduced to Two Another’s playful universe, I was really looking forward to giving my touch to the track; and the process ended up being a fun and smooth ride.”
He brings his signature mix of melody to a deep, loose cut rich in emotion but still designed for the dance floor. The vocals are left in to tug at the heart while zippy, futuristic synths dart through the mix and a dusty broken beat plays about before settling into something irresistible.
Two Another’s ‘Elation’ (Nandu Remix) comes on Another Label on October 23rd.
