Kx5 TO HEADLINE LOS ANGELES MEMORIAL COLISEUM DECEMBER 10
deadmau5 and Kaskade – known jointly as Kx5 – have released all the remixes of their debut single, “Escape” feat. Hayla. The release is out today via mau5trap and includes a new remix by sought-after rising DJ/producer/pianist and entrepreneur, LP Giobbi. Her remix expertly uses elements of the original’s vocals with a throbbing bass and skipping house beat, giving her production the upbeat, feel-good vibe her tracks have become known for.

“Escape,” released earlier this year, is the first single to come from Kx5 – a collaboration over a decade and a half in the making. The track is the number one most-played song on US Dance Radio this year and in the UK was made MistaJam’s Jam Hot Record of the Week on Capital Dance and Danny Howard’s Hottest Record in the World on Radio 1. The song has topped over 29 million streams on Spotify alone.
Consisting of deadmau5 and Kaskade, the two artists which make up Kx5 first paired together on the UK top 20 single “I Remember” – a genre-defining anthem which spent 20 weeks on the UK singles charts upon its release in 2008. Since then, they have collaborated on tracks but this is the first time they have solidified it into a wholly new artistic project, one which will consist of more studio releases as well as a hugely ambitious live show set for December 10 at Los Angeles’ Memorial Coliseum.
