Djrum releases of his new album, ‘Under Tangled Silence’ via Houndstooth.Ahead of the release, Djrum has released a new single, ‘Three Foxes Chasing Each Other’, the second to be heard from the new album following ‘A Tune For Us’ in January.
The new album, he says, was inspired by a quote from Patti Smith, “We go through life. We shed our skins. We become ourselves.”
Initial work on the LP began in 2020 during lockdown, but was nearly derailed entirely when what he calls “a catastrophic hard-drive meltdown” destroyed much of his progress.
After walking himself back from the brink of a psychological breakdown, Djrum restarted the work in earnest, building the project back almost from scratch.
To celebrate the new record, Djrum has announced a seven-date tour, beginning in Madrid on 8th March, with more dates to be announced.
