Dukwa debuts on REK’D with the ‘Don’t Be Fooled By The Night’ EP, releasing 20th November 2026. The Italian musician and producer, alias of Marco D’Aquino, began his musical journey in 2008, exploring Techno, House, and experimental music, which led him to form a distinctive style marked by groovy, melodic, atmospheric sounds.
Dukwa’s ‘Don’t Be Fooled By The Night’ EP packs four hard-hitting House tracks, starting with opener ‘Bass Attack’, featuring a raw, gritty bassline and Dukwa’s own chopped-up vocals. ‘Don’t Be Fooled’ captures those intimate late-night moments, building tension before melting into a cloudy, introspective atmosphere. ‘quantoseiacid’, which translates to “How acid are you?”, then blends acid sounds with house-oriented samples, uplifting keys, and vocals, all full of groove. Closing the EP, ‘So Bored’ reflects Dukwa’s desire to strip music-making back to its essence, keeping it simple, effective, and danceable with big impact.
Recognised as a prominent figure in Italian electronic music, Dukwa’s distinctive, raw, and personal music on labels like Numbers, Slacker 85, COD3QR, and Dynamic has won support from the likes of Ben UFO, Skream, and many more, whilst securing him sets at spots like Panorama Bar, Kappa Futur Festival, and Circoloco Ibiza.
Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense house music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has since become a home for dancefloor-focused EPs from artists including Avision, Khadija, Ketiov & Edvvin, Uncertain, Rocco Rodamaal, James Curd, Denney, and more.
