Experimental Bass’ artists EAZYBAKED (Orlando, FL) continue to build on their strong grassroots reputation by always upping the ante of their creativity and adding intrigue throughout the national festival scene. Now, the duo of Eric Ray and Andrew Principe are ready to set a new standard for their artistry with INTERTWINED, the debut LP of the EAZYBAKED project out March 4th. Boasting 10-tracks, this new release explores a newfound depth and emotion through a cunning, electrifying odyssey of contemporary Bass music. On February 22nd, the duo is set to roll out the albums final single, “Capsule,” a fitting close to promotional singles as it highlights and previews the dynamic nature of the duo’s biggest work to date.

The final single, “Capsule,” brings balance to the roll out with a low end and quirky edge in its sound design. The track opens with an eerie synth conundrum of sonics, warping and winding to create a familiar, wonky soundscape. INTERTWINED conveys an intensity and warmth one might not expect from EAZYBAKED’s previous catalogue. INTERTWINED offers two collaborations as well – recruiting revered sonic innovators Of The Trees and VCTRE as collaborators. This new body of work shows an evolution from their patented deliveries and crunchy sound design by offering something a step outside the producer’s comfort zones – finding them exploring a spectrum of emotion through sonics.

Eric Ray and Andrew Principe’s bond dates back to childhood playgrounds. Following their discovery of DAWs in highschool, the two began making beats together daily under the monikers ‘EAZY’ and ‘Mr. Baked.’ Recognizing their chemistry and ability to cocreate, Principe and Ray joined forces as one to become EAZYBAKED
To date, the duo has been booked for eclectic venues such as Red Rocks, and performed high-profile festival sets at EDC Orlando, Okeechobee Music Festival, and more. Following their performance at Okeechobee in 2020, the global pandemic and birth of Principe’s child inspired the duo to expand their artistic horizons. This led to the birth of the duo’s upcoming, debut album, INTERTWINED.

“Many of the tracks we create aren’t started together, they start as an idea by either one of us and if we both dig it we’ll finish it together from that point on. For this one, Andrew started the intro/first drop, and then I added layers like sub-bass, melody, and FX for the first drop. After that it was pretty much back and forth until it was finished.”
