ECLECTIC PRODUCERS SKYSIA & ILLOH JOIN FORCES ON ETHEREAL, ORGANIC BASS TRACK, “FRAGMENTS”

Gathering inspiration from nature, Denver-based producer Skysia fuses organic sounds with deep bass to create tasteful sonic journeys. For his latest release, the producer teams up with illoh on new single, “Fragments,” streaming on all platforms September 23rd

Together their harmonious blend of experimental bass with ethereal soundscapes takes listeners on a mystifying trip through the forest.

Quote from Skysia:

“Floating through realities. Fragmented spaces and alternate timelines. We find ourselves lost within a forest. Distant voices pull us toward the void. As the mist clears, we see reality is crumbling. Pieces fall apart only to come together again as something new emerges from the fragments.”

Skysia reached out to illoh to give him some love on his recent tunes. He was impressed with everything he had been putting out and wanted to send some love. That conversation quickly turned into talking about a potential collaboration. illoh sent over an idea that same day and he hopped on it right away. This track flowed out within a couple days. Their workflow was insanely efficient and Skysia says that it might be his smoothest/easiest collaboration experience yet. Felt very natural and he believes the result mirrors the creative flow they had going.

ABOUT SKYSIA

Forgoing electronic music’s inherent heaviness for a spiritualized serenity and elegant song craft, Skysia fuses elements of melodic bass, experimental bass, and modern downtempo into a euphonious sound. The producer/composer often reveals a minimalist, deliciously danceable style; his translucent low-end theory is rich in musicality and steeped in dreamy psychedelia. Today, the producer has 6 Million+ spotify streams and 85k monthly listeners

Born Tanner Allen, Skysia is a self-taught pianist, filmmaker, and production wizard; formerly based in Southern California, these days he lives in a converted mini-school bus – complete with mobile studio, crafting sound art while perpetually immersed in nature. Skysia mines earthy textures and unveils emotive tones, sonically expressing the delicate balance between darkness and light. His crisp, clear compositions invoke the sacred and sexy, humbly channeled through medicinal bass music. Drawing inspiration from global dancefloor pioneers, Skysia has now shared the stage with artists such as Clozee, Of The Trees, Liquid Stranger, Troyboi, An-Ten-Nae and more.

Before embarking on a musical journey on the West Coast scene, Allen studied production techniques at the esteemed Point Blank Music School in London. Skysia will perform at the mainstage at Serenity Festival on September 16th, and alongside Frameworks on the 17th.

ABOUT ILLOH:

Placing a pertinent emphasis on the “free form” in free form bass music, Denver’s illoh (Alec Hollingsworth) marches to no beat but that of his own drum. Alec grew up playing bass guitar, sitting in front of his amplifier, and melting into low frequencies. After shifting his focus to bass music production, he has expanded on his musical roots and focuses on melodic soundscapes and low-frequency articulation. His music synthesizes elements of old-school dubstep, alternative R&B, Hip-Hop, and World bass. Drawing inspiration from artists like Mersiv, Charlesthefirst, Jade Cicada, and Clozee, Alec seeks to create music that can be enjoyed in a bedroom, during late-night drives, and on festival stages.
