Hot on the heels of Vintage Culture’s remix of ‘Scala’, which earned support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, M.A.N.D.Y. and Solomun, Emanuel Satie steps out on Sapiens with his own take on Agoria’s 2013 classic.
Satie’s take on ‘Scala’ is a masterclass in building and sustaining tension. The original’s piano refrain loops through the mix as drums and pads crescendo, teasing towards takeoff. When the classy drop finally lands, a warm wave of synths washes over deep, consuming grooves, with the whole dancefloor in tow.
A key figure in the contemporary melodic house landscape, German DJ and producer Emanuel Satie is one of the creative forces behind the label and event series SCENARIOS. His style is rich in emotion but rooted in club grooves, with releases on key labels such as Crosstown Rebels and Defected, and gigs everywhere from Pacha Ibiza and Warung to ULTRA Resistance and Robert Johnson.
Emanuel Satie’s remix of ‘Scala’ drops via Sapiens Recordings on 23rd October 2026.
