In 2015, dance music was dominated by artists like Jack U, Kygo, and Major Lazer, but an artist that arguably had a bigger year than all three of them was Felix Jaehn. The Hamburg native exploded onto the scene last year, going from a relatively unknown to one of the biggest dance music stars on Earth. He released chart-topping hit after chart-topping hit, championed the rise of a new sub-genre in dance music, and became a mainstay in Europe’s thriving dance music scene, playing clubs and festivals all over the continent. The 21-year-old is already an international superstar in his own right, but he’s primed to turn the page in his career by taking over one of dance music’s premiere conferences, Miami Music Week, in just a few short days.

Last year, Felix Jaehn helped guide dance music’s crossover into the pop world with his brand of melodic, vocal-driven house music that featured a wide array of live instrumentation. He made a strong first impression with his early releases, “Dance With Me” and “Shine”, before truly hitting his stride with his world-renowned remix of OMI’s “Cheerleader”, which went on to top the iTunes charts in over 55 countries on its way to accumulating over 60 million plays in less than one year. Jaehn’s remix drew the world’s attention, and he followed that up with, yet another, stand-out remix – this time, his take on Rufus and Chaka Khan’s hit, “Ain’t Nobody”. He closed the year with the release of his self-titled Felix Jaehn EP, which featured three originals and a pair of remixes by Phantoms and Prince Fox.

The German producer is a festival veteran, performing at Daydream in Belgium, Weekend Festival in Finland, Lollapalooza Berlin, amongst others, and now, he’s ready to take his signature brand of melodic house to the States with two can’t-miss events at Miami Music Week, culminating in his debut performance Ultra Music Festival. Armed with an impressive catalogue of hits and an innate ability as a tastemaker, Felix Jaehn is uniquely poised to dominate Miami Music Week in just a few days.
