Powered by the project’s signature blend of heavy-hitting productions and internet-forward, rave girly melodies, “Run” marks a spectacular debut on the Basscon label. The heart-racing track captures the uncontrollable urge to sprint as fast as humanly possible in the opposite direction of life’s hardships. Rippling arpeggios and lofty padlines provide the momentum for the sweet hook to air out its grievances at warp-speed. Its uplifting, dainty melodies gradually pass the baton over to the track’s explosive hard bounce groove, bolting through pulsating basslines, hi-hat hisses, and earth-shaking bigroom brass leads fueled by the force of a full-on stampede.
Shedding light on the meaning behind their new single, Softest Chyl says, “‘Run’ is a track that was very fun for us to create. We always have visions of us being chased in an emoji world, and we came up with the idea based on that!”
Launched in 2024, Softest Chyl is the passion project of two powerhouse females in dance music, Softest Hard and CHYL. The duo blends Softest Hard’s intoxicating hard dance euphoria with CHYL’s adrenaline-soaked speed house sensibilities, carving out a sound that is playful, passionate, and unapologetically fast.
Since its formation, Softest Chyl has been on a breakaway with a string of high-impact singles, including their collaboration “Run Away” with Jessica Audiffred, which drew support from tastemakers such as Steve Aoki, Benzi, and Xabi Only. Their on-stage chemistry has lit up venues and festival stages across the country, with performances at Lost Lands and 1015 SF, and an upcoming set at House of Blues Anaheim.
