Produced during the summer while working remotely across long distances, “Fading” represents a conscious effort to modernize the genre. Instead of relying on traditional retro pads or simple piano chords, the duo crafted complex, gritty synth designs using Serum, Diva, and Kick3. The main technical challenge involved balancing wide, nostalgic vocals with a tight, central rhythm section.
Speaking about their artistic approach, Ben C & Kalsx share: “We are quite proud of having modernized classic trance heritage. Our version uses more modern sounds, gritty designs, and a deeper cinematic dimension.”
