Long Beach-based producer returns to NIGHTMODE with his long-awaited follow-up single, a genre-blurring trap banger that twists through bass and house influences.
Long Beach’s FrostTop redraws the boundaries of modern bass music with “Haven,” his latest single arriving November 28 on Gud Vibrations. Known for twisting trap music into colder, sharper shapes, the rising producer reenters the label with a cut that feels both meticulously engineered and instinctively unrestrained. It marks his first release on the imprint since 2021’s “Dream State” and “Blood Moon,” following the momentum of his six-track ‘Reform’ EP, which secured praise across UKF, Dancing Astronaut, Run The Trap, FUXWITHIT, and more along with radio champions including Alison Wonderland, Hekler, and Moore Kismet.

“Haven” distills FrostTop’s hybrid bass language into one of his most volatile constructions yet. The intro throbs with submerged low-end, razor-edged synth shrieks, and a thriller-like tension that slowly coils before snapping into motion. When the drop lands, the track detonates into intricate percussive flurries and tumbling metallic leads, each phrase hitting with tight, calculated impact. A brief four-on-the-floor surge widens the dynamic range before the track plunges back into its trap-rooted free fall. Every shift feels designed with intent, as genre lines are bent, blurred, and then sharpened into something unmistakably written by FrostTop.
Shedding light on the creative process that birthed his new single, FrostTop shares: “‘HAVEN’ came together during a small writing camp in Lake Arrowhead with me, Knock2, ISOxo, and RemK. We rented a house for a few days, kept the setup simple and just spent the whole trip bouncing ideas around. No structure, whoever was awake worked, and everyone else jumped in when something sparked. The idea for the track hit late one night when I dragged an old distorted drum loop into the session. The drop came together fast after that. I called it ‘HAVEN’ because that house ended up feeling like a break from everything: touring, deadlines, noise. The song captures the energy of those nights and the space we had to experiment without pressure.”
At only 24, FrostTop has already built a gravitational pull around his work. His productions have earned sustained support from Skrillex, Dillon Francis, RL Grime, Excision, Illenium, The Chainsmokers, Flosstradamus, SLANDER, NGHTMRE, and a long list of bass heavyweights. His collaborative résumé includes releases with Dabin, Boombox Cartel, Montell2099, Holly, and RemK, while his live schedule continues to accelerate. Recent highlights span EDC Las Vegas, Brooklyn Mirage, HARD Summer, a sold-out Roxy Theatre headline, and major festival plays such as &friends Festival Manila, Niteharts Festival, Starbase Festival, Siam Songkran Festival, Bass Canyon, plus a Las Vegas co-headline with JAWNS.
“Haven” drops as FrostTop closes out his 20-date tour, with upcoming dates supporting SLANDER’s ‘Voyager’ at Armory, NGHTMRE’s ‘Mindfull’ at Mission Ballroom, Illenium’s Ember Shores, alongside headline shows at Nebula NYC and Showbox SoDo. His touring footprint continues to grow through key runs with Knock2’s ‘nolimit’ Tour, ARMNHMR’s ‘Do Not Disturb’ Tour, Kai Wachi’s ‘Nekrosis’ Tour, Dabin’s ‘Aura Park’ Tour, and more—each cementing him deeper into the fabric of today’s bass landscape.
Across his catalog, FrostTop has carved a lane defined not by genre allegiance but by atmosphere, tension, and precision. “Haven” pushes that ethos further: a cold, hybridized strike that threads hardwave influences, deep dubstep weight, techno tension, and experimental club textures into a single, formidable statement. For Gud Vibrations, it signals the return of an artist actively reshaping where trap—and bass music at large—goes next.
