Brazil’s rapidly rising producer joins forces with emerging producer from Southeast Asia for their ice-cold indie dance collab via Insomniac’s sub-label.

Brazil’s GUI2IN and Myanmar-bred producer past12 join forces for their collaborative single, “idontcare,” a raw and completely unbothered indie dance club record releasing on October 7th via Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint.

Coming together from two notably distant points on the map, “idontcare” is an electrifying indie dance track harnessing the eclectic global persuasions from two creators quickly on the rise. A hypnotic and haunting vocal hook repeats with its creepy-crawly cadence. Beneath the muttered, mesmerizing refrain looms a dark, club-centric minimal tech groove fueled by industrial-laced sawtooth synths. The low-end booms with an almost apathetic attitude. Its abrasive, distorted treatment is punctuated by fat bassline pulses and serrated stabs, lending the track an eerie yet unmistakably memorable energy.

Speaking to the cultural blend that makes the single so special, GUI2IN explains, “This collaboration was a special opportunity to merge different worlds of electronic music. Brazilian minimal meets Southeast Asia vibes, to make a banger for the whole world.”

Based out of Brazil, GUI2IN is a producer who has been shaking up dancefloors around the world with a buzzing catalog that culls influence from minimal, bass, and tech house. He has released collabs alongside Felguk, Gaddi, Carola, and CERES, with his tracks getting the stamp of approval from heavy-hitting names including Chris Lake, Fisher, Meduza, Odd Mob, Martin Garrix, Cloonee, and SIDEPIECE

Stepping onto the dance scene out of Myanmar, past12 is an emerging Southeast Asian producer who’s been making all manner of electronic music, ranging from trap, house, drum & bass, dubstep, and more. As of late, he’s caught the attention of global house phenom HUGEL, who played his track “Hotel Room” during his performance at Elrow

With “idontcare,” both GUI2IN and past12’s styles shine through in a tough-as-nails indie dance track that’s as enigmatic as it is irresistible on the dancefloor.

GUI2IN and past12’s new single “idontcare” is available on all platforms via IN/ROTATION Records.
