Hardwell closes Ultra Europe set with Pokemon theme song

Someone had to do it.

Despite missing out on its first day due to inclement weather, Ultra Europe prevailed as one of the country’s top electronic music festivals in welcoming the likes of Carl Cox, Nero, deadmau5, and many others. One artist in particular, though, managed to tap into popular culture’s most remarkable phenomenon to date: Pokemon Go.

Following an electro-powered Main Stage set, Hardwell concluded his Ultra Europe performance with Pokemon’s theme song. Watch above as Pokeballs invade the festival’s grounds, and van de Corput fervidly sings along.
