Living up to its name, INFEKT and HAMRO’s new collaboration takes listeners into “DA PIT.” XAE’s raps demand attention from the outset, as he gives listeners fair warning of what’s to come. The looped bars are filtered and layered over foreboding melodies and metallic percussion. Allowing the screamed rap vocals to take center stage, the bars help ratchet the intensity to peak levels before unleashing the devastating dubstep drops. Guttural sub-bass leads, sinister vocalizations, slamming drums, and drilling synths collide at neck-breaking pace. The swinging and slamming cacophony is sure to incite mosh pits in every city where the track rings off.
