Fast-rising UK talent Jamie Unknown makes his debut on TSHA’s Jackfruit imprint with the vibrant ‘Roll With The Rhythm / All The Love’, arriving August 28.
The edgy, future-facing and revved-up ‘Roll With The Rhythm’ opens with a ton of attitude and a bouncy low end that borrows from garage and bassline. It’s filthy and dirty, with a swaggy rap vocal and bright chord stabs that bring peak-time destruction. ‘All The Love’ ft. Winter Games is a vocal belter with relentless piano chords that tap into summer fun and festival madness. A pitched-up vocal adds a euphoric edge as the chunky drums build the pressure and never let up.
Jamie Unknown is anything but – the UK producer has announced himself at the top table with an enviable run of bold house, garage and bass blends. His fresh sounds include tunes on Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried, Three Six Zero and a huge UKG EP on Shall Not Fade’s Time Is Now, which was chosen by Jaguar as her Radio 1 ‘Dancefloor Moment’. Next to this, he’s played explosive sets everywhere from Pikes Ibiza to Glastonbury, and this new drop on Jackfruit demonstrates his knack for bringing the right amount of nostalgia to infectious, high-energy anthems.
