Returning to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s label following their 2023 debut album ‘Stars Align’ on the imprint last summer, the brother pairing unveils a pair of captivating productions set for release on 7th June 2024.
Internationally renowned artists in their own right, brother duo Jonas Rathsman and Francis Novotny’s burgeoning collaborative project Modern Tales is a joint endeavour that mirrors their own unique artistic expression within a shared vision created within the forests of Sweden. Creating cinematic productions crafted to move the mind, body and soul, emotive, hopeful and heartfelt, the indie-electro pairing made their debut via RÜFÜS DU SOL’s acclaimed Rose Avenue Records last year following a series of stunning live shows supporting the label bosses on tour. Their signing soon brought the arrival of an expansive canvas of productions on the label, all accumulating into the release of their debut album ‘Stars Align’ last summer – a ten-track odyssey through kaleidoscopic soundscapes. Fresh from a return to the studio to harness their focus on new music, the pair return to Rose Avenue once again this June, unveiling two enchanting productions across their latest release, ‘All The Stars/Judgement Day’.

With ‘Judgement Day’, we’re channelling our late-night inspirations and reconnecting with the driving rhythms that made us first fall in love with club music. ‘All The Stars’, on the other hand, is about exploring more of our roots as songwriters and musicians. Entrancing and alluring from the off, with Novotny’s charming vocals floating amongst sweeping synths, driving bass patterns, and delicate melodies, ‘All The Stars’ delivers a production that expertly harnesses the duo’s joint sound, while ‘Judgement Day’ balances light touches amongst brooding, darker elements to deliver a distinctly powerful anthem that looks set to soundtrack significant highlight moments across the summer and beyond.
