Certain melodies have a way of finding their way back into circulation, often in places far removed from where they first began. Almost three decades after first making its mark in 1998, one of R&B’s most recognisable vocal hooks finds a new home as Joshwa brings a fresh perspective to a familiar favourite. Arriving via Rendezvous Sound / No Bad Fridays Records, ‘IN2U’ sees the US-based Brit revisit a defining late-90s hit, reworking its unmistakable vocal into a contemporary house anthem that connects the past with the present.

Trading the original’s soulful character for a rush of dancefloor energy, ‘IN2U’ doesn’t attempt to disguise its pop sensibilities – instead, leaning into them by pairing the instantly familiar vocal with low-end drive and an infectious groove that gives it an entirely different pulse. Equal parts nostalgic and immediate, it bridges generations without losing sight of what made the original so special.
The release adds to a busy 2026 for Joshwa, whose continued rise on both sides of the Atlantic has added to his place among the UK’s most in-demand exports. His Hellbent debut, ‘Out Of My Mind’, became one of the year’s defining records, topping Beatport and amassing over 20 million streams, while his growing catalogue across Hot Creations, Black Book, Insomniac and more reflects an artist increasingly comfortable crossing stylistic boundaries. With his No Bad Fridays imprint and events continuing to develop in tandem, ‘IN2U’ adds further fire to that trajectory, stepping into something more universal without leaving the dancefloor behind.
Joshwa ‘IN2U’ drops via Rendezvous Sound / No Bad Fridays Records on 6th November 2026.
