It is not all that uncommon for artists to draw inspiration from their peers, but few take a bow before those are considered the genre’s pioneers. Junior Sanchez is one who does. Soon to release his upcoming ‘Under The Influence’ tribute album, he has begun to repay his debt in full by putting out album single ‘You, I & The Music’.

The first of eleven songs that pay homage to flag-bearers such as Armand van Helden, Todd Terry, Daft Punk, Kerri Chandler and more, ‘You, I & The Music’ is a straight-up summer jam. It’s about a man who falls in love and subsequently discovers that love and music is all he needs. Its sound touches the core of the French House sound as introduced by the likes of Daft Punk and Cassius.
Throughout his career of over two decades long, Junior Sanchez produced and remixed tracks for a gamut of top-tier artists, including Madonna, Shakira, Katy Perry, Good Charlotte, Daft Punk, Gorillaz and countless others. As a DJ, he has performed all over the globe at clubs and festivals across the United States, Asia, Australia and Europe. Recently, he joined Amsterdam-based record label Armada Music with his own Brobot label, on which ‘You, I & the Music’ has been released.
