Kiimi has shared a new song, ‘i want u’, via Jaguar’s UTOPIA label. The song follows the ‘Pixie’ EP that the artist released this past summer. The track was road-tested across several dates that Kiimi played in recent months.
In a statement, the DJ and producer said: “‘i want u’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for me as my first release since leaving a long-term label deal, and I’m so excited to share it on my good friend Jaguar’s label, UTOPIA.
“The track combines all my favourite elements of club music: it’s percussive, bassy, sitting in between bouncy house and techno, with a clear nod to the queer club culture that forever inspires me. The sonic embodiment of a sweaty, dark basement. It’s been a staple in my DJ sets over the past year and I can’t wait for it to finally be out in the world.”
