Joytime Collective launches new era with Miami-inspired genre hybrid from rising electronic producer
(LOS ANGELES, CA – JUNE 13, 2025) – After a decade of global chart-toppers and genre-defining moments, Marshmello is officially launching the next era of Joytime Collective with Jumpstart Vol. 1—a compilation series introducing the next generation of electronic trailblazers. Leading the charge is KILLMATTER and his electrifying single, “BALENCIAGA BARBIE,” out now via Joytime Collective.
Blending breakbeat energy and experimental club futurism, “BALENCIAGA BARBIE” distills the spirit of Miami nightlife into a high-octane, bass-forward statement track. “I was driven to make something fast-paced to resemble the lifestyle in Miami while still captivating the trap sound,” says KILLMATTER. “I think the world needs more crossovers and blending of genres.”
Born in New York City and raised in Florida, KILLMATTER has quickly become a name to watch in the electronic underground. Drawing on influences from Skrillex and Joyryde to Noisia and Nitepunk, his sound fuses cinematic storytelling with distorted basslines and self-performed vocals—an approach that defined his breakout 2024 debut EP DON’T EAT THE FRUIT.
