Channeling the heartbeat of the US bass scene, “SAY SOMETHING” is a gritty, rhythmic dubstep track that asserts her rise as one of the loudest voices in the room.
Its groove is atomic. Whetted breakbeat drums and ghostly soundscapes are draped with almost-indiscernible muttered vocal chops. Once the namesake hook comes in to speak its piece, the track turns into a mushroom cloud made of kettle-whistling risers and seesawing oscillators. Its wobbly, explosive drop is dangerous, making it the perfect addition to Klo’s arsenal as she prepares for a string of support dates on Subtronic’s ‘Fibonacci’ Tour.
Speaking to the sheer power of her new single, Klo shares: “‘Say Something’ is a club-driven record built around the percussion and groove of the underground. I wanted to drop this one before the Subtronics tour because it perfectly captures the energy I’ve been bringing to my sets: dark, percussive, and built for the dancefloor.”
Originally from Texas, Klo has become a must-see name in dance music. In the last few years, her posts have continually blown up, blessing her cult-like following with proper flips, edits, remixes, and original tracks across the bass spectrum. She’s starting to make deep strides in the 140 scene, but has been crushing content and destroying dancefloors with tracks spanning UK garage, bassline, deep dubstep, grime, bass house, and beyond. Her clout is still climbing, especially as A-list names like Disclosure, Notion, Fred Again, and Hamdi offer their seal of approval. The views and engagement are only half of the equation, as the demand for Klo’s live sets flies off the charts following high-energy performances alongside Notion, jigitz, and a b2b with Joy Anonymous.
Bold, kinetic, and unmistakably her own, “SAY SOMETHING” pushes Klo further into the spotlight as she gears up for a new era where her bass-heavy tracks continue to resonate within the 140 sphere and adjacent bass-heavy subgenres.
Klo’s new single “SAY SOMETHING” is available on all platforms via GOTTA MOVE.
