Kygo’s ‘Cloud Nine’ assumes a May 13 release date
Kygo fans felt a tinge of dismay when they found out his debut album Cloud Nine would in fact not be released on the initially announced date of February 12. The Norwegian wunderkind attributed the delay to not his not wanting to be rushed on completing the final stages of each track. Rather, the producer intends to take extra time in the studio to ensure his release will be the highest quality he can manage.
Until Kygo finally made an announcement on his Facebook page, little information on an official release date for Cloud Nine had been revealed. The artist’s debut album is now slated for release on May 13 via Sony Music. In the meantime, the tropical house producer has some gifts in store for fans to make the wait less agonizing. Kygo has announced that he will be dropping the album’s first three singles March 18, April 1, and April 22. For now, fans can listen to his preview mini-mix of the album, provided below.
