Hiphop/R&B artist and producer Kyle Trippy shares his intoxicating new single ‘No Attachment’, out now on all streaming platforms.
Naming 6LACK, PARTYNEXTDOOR and The Weeknd as the biggest inspirations for this track, Kyle draws from his combined influences and seamlessly blends elements of Hiphop, Soul and dark R&B, owning his completely distinctive sound.
On the track, Kyle sings about a woman who only likes to be chased rather than tied to an attachment that comes with feelings and love. The whole concept came to Kyle one night at 3am, where upon hearing the beat, he envisioned a chase that clearly comes across in the pace of the beat and the lyrics.
Kyle wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered the track independently. Speaking of the track, he says, “I pictured a chase of some sort, so I wanted it to sound like that. Like you’re running from something. In terms of the production, I do it all myself, none of it is outsourced. From the music to the visuals and cover art, I do it all myself and I try to put a good little spin on it for anyone who listens or watches. No other hands or eyes ever touch it.”
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Kyle started experimenting with production on his laptop when he was 16 years old. He’s always been into technology and audio, so the intricacy of making music was always something that was ingrained in him. At 17 years old, he built his own studio from the ground up, working with and creating beats for other artists.
