Legendary dance act Pendulum returns at Ultra Miami 2016
Following Knife Party’s release of their new EP ‘Trigger Warning’ the first to follow 2014’s critically-acclaimed debut album ‘Abandon Ship’, the duo have announced they are to play a landmark headline show at Ultra Miami 2016 – alongside legendary dance act Pendulum. Performing live for the first time since disbanding in 2011, Pendulum will be bringing back near-on a decade’s worth of both incredible music and memories to the stage, while Knife Party – formed by Pendulum members Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen in 2012 – are sure to feed into the buzz that has made them one of the most in-demand electronic acts in the world. With more exciting developments also soon to be revealed, their exclusive headline shows at Ultra Miami point toward 2016 being a landmark year for both Knife Party and Pendulum.
Formed in 2002, Pendulum are widely regarded as one of the most influential dance acts of the last 15 years. Their 2005 debut album, ‘Hold Your Colour’, an upfront mix of drum & bass andelectro house that soon came to be defined as the ‘Pendulum sound’, sold over 300,000 copies worldwide and spawned the band’s first ever Top 30 hit in ‘Slam’ / ‘Out Here’.
Follow up album ‘In Silico’ scaled new heights, debuting at #2 on the Official UK Albums Chart and selling over 300,000 copies in the UK alone, before third studio album ‘Immersion’ went straight in at #1 in the UK in 2010.
Revered for their extraordinary live shows too, the duo have also played some of the world’s biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, SXSW and Creamfields.
