London-based artist KVG drops her debut EP ‘Pensive’

KVG may be a new name in the underground, but her forward-thinking sonics bear the hallmarks of a seasoned producer. Drawing from bass, breaks, electro and techno, the London-based DJ and producer has appeared on Rinse FM and Brixton Radio, alongside performances at cult UK festival Get On. Her debut EP, ‘Pensive’, is a confident introduction to an artist carving out a sound entirely her own.

‘Pensive’ is a scintillating club opener with crisp electro hits and booming low end. Quirky sound design, breathy vocalisations and futuristic synth work all collide to create a heady atmosphere that’s both hypnotic and driving. ‘Frenzied’ opens with reverb-soaked wooden hits and speaker-rattling subs. A distinctive UK rap vocal drifts through the mix, while tripped-out instrumentation and warped FX keep the track in constant motion. Closer ‘Melancholy’ takes a more reflective turn, fusing ember-like crackles, analog warmth and soaring arpeggios into a looser, immersive arrangement that brings the EP to a thoughtful close.

KVG’s ‘Pensive’ EP drops via KVG on 24th July 2026.
