Lucas & Steve continue to show both sides of their sound. While recent singles have once again highlighted their ability to deliver melodic records with wide audience appeal, the Dutch pair still keep one foot firmly in the underground.
Their latest release, ‘This Ain’t Just Music’, sees the duo step straight back into club territory. The track carries that classic Bass House feel, with a strong low end, a bouncy groove and a drop that hits hard. It perfectly captures their evolving sound while maintaining the uplifting character that has become their trademark.
Over the past year, Lucas & Steve have increasingly embraced a more club-focused approach alongside their commercial releases. Singles like ‘Be Like Bob’ and ‘Control’, released on Chris Lake’s label Blackbook, proved their versatility both in the studio and behind the decks.
‘This Ain’t Just Music’ is another clear example of that vision: a record designed to create impact on festival stages, in packed rooms and across DJ sets worldwide.
