Los Angeles, CA – Tuesday, October 2 – Brazilian-born, Los Angeles-based producer WELKER and New York native NO STATIC join forces for their new single, “Hot Girl Walk” via Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION label. Blending the sleek sensibilities of indie dance with the punch of tech house, the track channels a confident, center-of-attention energy built for the dance floor.
“Hot Girl Walk,” is a track centered around an infectious female rap vocal and an unmistakable sense of swagger. Booming plucks, fizzy hollow synths, and burring sawtooth call-and-response textures build around a driving groove, landing somewhere between indie dance and tech house while retaining a distinctly playful edge.
“‘Hot Girl Walk’ started from the idea of making something sexy, catchy, heavy, and full of groove. It’s one of those tracks that can fit into different moments of a set – it can work as a transition into something heavier, but it can also be strong enough to open or close a set. What I really like about it is how original it feels, sitting right in the middle of my sound and NO STATIC’s style.” – WELKER
“‘Hot Girl Walk’ is the perfect blend of tech house and indie dance, with a confident female vocal that delivers a unique moment on both the dance floor and the main stage”. – NO STATIC
WELKER has spent the past decade dissecting the anatomy of commercial music before redirecting his passion toward the underground. The transition has established him as a rising force across indie dance, house, and techno. His recent releases have continued to build momentum, with his last three tracks reaching the Top 3 of Beatport’s charts and “Ice In My Eyes” holding the No. 1 position on Beatport’s Indie Dance chart for more than a month. He has collaborated with TOBEHONEST, HILLS, and Broken Hill, while his music has been championed by Max Styler, Solomun, Vintage Culture, Massano, Innellea, and Adam Ten. He is currently on his Fall Tour, with upcoming and recent stops including Boo! Seattle, Double Dragon, LowBrau, Rum Runners London, Zebbies, Azure, Aloft, Anejo, AVA, Mosaic, Studio 60 Miami, and Seismic Dance Event 9.0.
NO STATIC has been steadily carving out his own lane in house music since 2022, working across tech house and indie dance. He made his IN / ROTATION debut earlier this year alongside Dansyn with “Pressure,” which has amassed more than 590.6k streams to date and received radio support from SLAM!, FG Dance, CJSR, Beat 100.9FM, EDM Sessions, and BPM Electro. The track also earned support from CID, ACRAZE, EdiP, and Matroda, while his other music has been played by Max Styler, Vintage Culture, Solomun, FISHER, John Summit, Diplo, Adam Ten, and Mau P. His track “Blow Your Mind” amassed 1.4M streams, with “Genie” hitting 2.6M streams. He’s on a run of Summer / Fall Tour dates including Experts Only New York, Experts Only Basecamp at the Gorge, Exchange LA, Arlo Brooklyn, Effex Rooftop, Sunbar Patio, Ciel Capitol Hill, Tetto Rooftop.
Together, WELKER and NO STATIC bring their respective sounds into focus on “Hot Girl Walk,” a groove-forward collaboration designed to command attention from the first beat to the last.
