Makèz and Toman bring together new single ‘Reverse Things’

The new collaboration brings together two of the Netherlands’ most distinctive house acts following standout runs across No Art, Defected, Solid Grooves and their respective imprints.

Makèz and Toman bring together two corners of Amsterdam’s house scene on new single ‘Reverse Things‘, marking their debut on TSZR.

The collaboration connects two artists with longstanding ties to the city’s electronic music community. Makèz have built their catalogue across labels including Heist, No Art, Balance Recordings and Classic Music Company, with 2023’s ‘Downstream’ featuring Life On Planets becoming a major breakthrough for the duo. The track emerged as one of ANOTR’s most-requested IDs before receiving a Pete Tong Essential New Tune, with Makèz subsequently releasing through No Art, Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory and Defected.

Toman arrives at ‘Reverse Things’ following a similarly significant run. His 2025 Solid Grooves release ‘Verano En NY’ reached #1 on Beatport, received Pete Tong Essential New Tune recognition and became the year’s most-played track across Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa and [UNVRS]. More recently, his output has included releases through his own High Ceilings imprint alongside a return to Solid Grooves.

‘Reverse Things’ now brings Makèz and Toman together at a particularly strong moment for both artists. With each having developed their own place within the wider Dutch house landscape, their first TSZR release adds a long-awaited meeting point between two Amsterdam projects whose paths have increasingly crossed the same clubs, labels and dance floors.
