Moogfest Announces Full 2016 Lineup And Releases New EP
Hailed by The New York Times for “its mom-and-pop technosophy and its insistence on immersive experiences in small, comfortable spaces,” North Carolina’s Moogfest stands out from other festivals for its endearing and distinctive synthesis of music, art and technology. The theme for this year’s Moogfest, taking place from May 19-22 in Durham, is the ‘Future of Creativity’ which aims to bring together artists, futurist thinkers, engineers, scientists, musicians, DJs and some of today’s brightest minds to explore tools for new forms of creative expression. From it’s immersive Day-into-Night programming to its diverse, all-ages audience of creative tech professionals, artists and music fans, Moogfest is truly a priceless experience that emphasizes experimentation, collaboration, multi-night residencies, and newly commissioned work unable to be witnessed anywhere else.
Aside from the excitement of Moogfest’s interactive and inspiring conversations surrounding art, sound, science, and technology, striking visual workspaces and exhibits, this year’s festival boasts a myriad of talented musicians.
