MÜSE returns with the next instalment of its much-loved ‘Summer Cuts’ series, serving up nine brand-new heaters from a global selection of artists, just in time for peak season. Established by label co-founders Dennis Cruz and Eddy M, the release continues the imprint’s commitment to championing both new talent and trusted names in underground house. This latest edition brings together ATLAC, Crewcutz, Dellavega, Nate Ash & SOG (US), Nestor Neven, Rin F, Sergio Saffe, and White Off – plus a standout contribution from MÜSE A&R Bizen Lopez, who steps up with the slick and driving ‘Elysian Verse’. As ever, the compilation reflects the label’s global outlook and ear for groove-focused, dancefloor-ready material.
ATLAC opens with the rolling and bumping ‘Off The Grid’, while Crewcutz lay down playful sax-led rhythms on ‘Funky People’. Next, Dellavega delivers twisted vocal heat on ‘Freaks Out There’, before Nate Ash & SOG (US) keep the tempo high with ‘Dance Baby’. Nestor Neven’s ‘Groove Starter’ is aptly named, with bubbling drums and a funky rolling low-end, while Rin F brings crisp, minimalistic flavour on ‘Little French’ . Sergio Saffe’s ‘Bass On’ lives up to its title with big low-end pressure, and White Off signs off the package with the tight, trippy ‘Don Life’.
