A new app called Eye Conductor allows users to play and produce music with expressions like eye movements and facial gestures. The app was developed in part for users with physical disabilities who have the opportunity to produce through a webcam in conjunction with an eye tracker.

The function of different movements vary. For example, opening your mouth can add delay or reverb to a note, while holding your gaze for two seconds can add a beat, and raising an eyebrow can change the pitch by octave.

Eye Conductor is still in prototype mode, but lead developer Andreas Refsgaard stated that, ultimately, he hopes one day the app can be a comprehensive tool for digital production.
