6 Unforgettable Ultra Moments To Get You Pumped For This Weekend
When hundreds of the world’s biggest electronic artists flock to one city for a week full of non-stop partying, you know there are bound to be some memorable stories. With Ultra Music Festival being Miami Music Week‘s main attraction, we thought it would be fun to get you guys stoked by looking back at some of the event’s most memorable moments.
Deadmau5 Trolls Martin Garrix & Avicii
After Avicii was forced to cancel his appearance in 2014, deadmau5 stepped up to the plate and closed out Saturday’s festivities in style. The mau5 made his presence known by trolling Martin Garrix with the notorious “Old MacDonald Had A Farm” edit of Martin Garrix’s “Animals”. He then took things a step further by dropping a mashup of “Ghosts N Stuff” and Avicii’s “Levels”. This stunt ended up sparking some serious Twitter feuds and will go down as one of the most talked-about Ultra moments of all time.
Swedish House Mafia’s Final Set
After selling out dozens of shows around the world during their ‘One Last Tour’, Swedish House Mafia officially said goodbye to the electronic music community with an emotional final set at Ultra Music Festival 2013. Even though both Steve Angello and Axwell /\ Ingrosso graced last year’s main stage, nothing will ever compare to this remarkable performance.
Eric Prydz Invades ASOT
Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance stage is always one of our favorite features of the festival. Last year, Ultra caught us off guard by having progressive house phenom Eric Prydz perform alongside some trance heavyweights. Ultimately, the crowd ended up welcoming Eric with open arms and he threw down a set for the ages. This year, his good pal deadmau5 will be joining him at the ASOT stage.
