Percue was built as a platform rather than a house style, a place where a record is judged on whether it holds up on a floor and on a record.‘Automatic’ is the clearest case so far: one song, two readings of it, neither treated as the lesser version.
The original builds around a vocal-led core. Julia Beverly’s voice opens into an arrangement of synths and melodic detail, unhurried but never static, with new elements arriving as others fall away. The Club Mix takes those same foundations into darker territory. The drums get tougher, the vocal moves in and out of the mix, and a late-hours reading lets the pressure and the drive take over.
NEXUS turn a crowd into one room. Formed in Zurich by Lucian, Lucas and Max, the trio build melodic and organic house in long arcs rather than isolated peaks, layered live with effects, vocals and re-edits so a floor keeps building instead of resetting track by track. Based between Zurich and Ibiza, they have played more than 100 shows across over 20 countries, including Art Basel Miami, Montreux Jazz Festival, The Gardens of Babylon in Basel and their home room Hive Club in Zurich, alongside five Burning Mans and five AfrikaBurns.
