Los Angeles, CA – Friday, July 10 – Electronic heavyweights NGTHMRE and Cyclops join forces for their new single “Computah,” releasing via NGHTMRE and SLANDER‘s Gud Vibrations label. Sourcing TikTok creator Julius Mondragon for an original vocal, “Computah” is a dubstep track that reprograms the viral prank phrase for festival-goers.
New York-based NGHTMRE is a visionary who has suspended reality for more than a decade. The multifaceted producer has broken barriers across hip-hop and a wide spectrum of electronic music, with an elite sound design elevated through unexpected samples, field recordings, and unforgettable vocals.
Boston-based producer Cyclops possesses an eye for innovation, exploring new dimensions of dubstep through an ever-changing canvas of heavy-hitting, gritty low-end and an experimental spirit. Cyclops adds “Computah” to the list of viral humor inspired tracks he is renowned in the EDM community for.
The single weaves together 8-bit melodies, pitch-bending leads, crowd chants and claps, laser-like sub-bass, and croaking drops — a perfect mixture of virality and earthshattering dubstep. They debuted the track live during the 4th of July weekend at Pacha NYC.
NGHTMRE is coming off the Deluxe Version of his sophomore album ‘MINDFULL,” which was chock-full of top-tier collabs with A$AP Ferg, Flowdan, Crankdat, Blanke, Kompany, GorillaT, WINK, Sully, and Crooked Bangs.
