Nick Reeve ‘The Heat’

London-based pop singer and songwriter Nick Reeve releases the brand new music video for his single, ‘The Heat’, out now on all streaming platforms.

Speaking of the music video, Nick says, “I had so much fun filming ‘The Heat’ video with director Hyago Rodriguez at the end of UK lockdown; first roaming round a deserted Chinatown in Soho at 5am and then taking the shoot to East London for the club scene. I found my heat being back on stage and everyone really felt a sense of freedom and unity dancing together for the first time in over a year. We hope you feel it too!

Fusing pop, rock, electronic and soulful sounds – singer songwriter Nick Reeve brings heartfelt, piano driven, hook laden songs with passionate and honest lyrics. A sensitive observer of life and keen to deliver a positive and energizing message, his first release of 2021 was ‘Magic’. With the resounding success of the first single Nick has followed it up with ‘The Heat’, which has the same unique beauty in the lyrics and melody.

The unexpected lack in human connection during the lockdown period inspired Nick to create ‘The Heat’, a track infused with twanging and jangly guitars for that western feel to emulate the heat of the desert, progressive contemporary sounds for that fresh feel and a classic 80’s feel. It is an energetic, catchy and sexy song that will have everyone dancing and reconnecting with one another which has been sorely missed.

When talking about what he wants listeners to take away from the track Nick says ‘To feel free, be yourself, cut loose, let go, enjoy the connection with friends, strangers, lovers – to really embrace that natural sensation of excitement when we are having a good time. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I want my music to send a positive message of love that truthfully reflects my hopeful outlook of the world.

Since lockdown Nick has been performing regular live stream shows while venues are waiting to re-open. He has been working on new material seeking out a new sound and creative direction. Engaging virtually with a variety of talented producers and musicians.

Nick has been a professional singer and piano player for many years, performing at some of London’s most prized venues, he has been writing songs since he was 13 years old.
