The Grammys will air on CBS, February 15.

The annual music awards show The Grammys has always payed tribute to artists who passed away that year, but the recent passing of David Bowie will call for a special tribute.

Heading up this years performance in honor of David Bowie will be Lady Gaga and Nile Rodgers. Gaga has embodied a similar mentality as Bowie in that they both break down barriers with their unique sense of style and creativity. Rodgers of course has collaborated with Bowie in the past on ‘Let’s Dance’ and ‘Black Tie White Noise’.

Gaga has cited Bowie as a major influence on her work. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter she said: “When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls.”
