No Thanks is returning to Insomniac’s offshoot imprint IN / ROTATION with their third appearance arriving in the form of their new single, “Sixth Gear,” releasing on August 20th.

The track is a club-focused tech house cut perfect for putting rubber to the road. “Sixth Gear” is fully loaded with a dynamic mix of car samples, including revving engines, car alarm beeps, screeching tires, and wailing sirens. The chaos blends into the track’s chunky basslines, pulsating synth rolls, moody undertones, and hip-hop-style vocal chops, adding depth and a touch of attitude.
No Thanks drives into the track’s vibe with their description: “‘Sixth Gear’ is a record that captures the feeling of rolling the windows down on the highway and putting full speed on the gas. Extended winding buildups with a dark, sweaty club drop that is perfect for the ride to and from the show.”
Based out of Vancouver, No Thanks is a Canadian production duo that has been fashioning a sound they’ve dubbed “polite house music,” a well-mannered mixture of bass house, tech house, and pop music.
