Parisian artist Notre Dame returns to his Paranormal imprint with new single ‘After Ego’, releasing on October 23rd. ‘After Ego’ captures the shift from the party into the after-party, a different setting and energy, and comes with two remixes from YUMA and LuSID. With deep musical intuition and an exploration of a wide range of genres, Notre Dame has developed a distinctive style that channels music’s emotive power into his productions, aiming to invigorate dancefloors. His music has reached a global audience through releases on Dynamic, Three Six Zero, and Ninja Tune, as well as his own label, and has received support from artists like Solomun, Pete Tong, and Keinemusik. Touring worldwide, Notre Dame has delivered standout performances at Space Miami, Pacha Ibiza, and Womb Tokyo, and recently held an open-air label showcase at La Clairière in Paris. As a producer, he has delivered high-profile remixes for artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Bedouin, and Royksopp, and notably collaborated with Adriatique, Nelly Furtado, and Timbaland on the release of ‘Give It To Me 2025’ on Interscope.
‘After Ego’ captures the vibe of a late-night after-party with smoky vocals and a pulsing groove. Full of tension, it balances warmth and momentum, as captivating as it is freeing. Remixer LuSID puts a hypnotic spin on the track, opting for dense bass and wavering, abrasive pads forming a low-down rendition. YUMA closes the EP with a heady house adaptation; forward-driving percussion and darting synths cascade across the track, adding a vigorous groove while still leaving room for warmth and tension.
