Fast-rising dance music enigma partywithray has unveiled his new EP ‘#Partystarters’, out September 17.

A four-track release, ‘#Partystarters’ opens with the infectiously funky ‘Lil Mama’, a collaboration with longtime musical compatriot ZHU that partywithray describes as “a catalyst for the vibe of the project”. Next up, ‘Good Bad Boy’ is a similarly endearing, bassline-driven, vocal-laced club jam that was released earlier this year as a single. As was the undeniably playful ‘1 Bump’, before things are closed out with ‘Smile Like Aaliyah’, ensuring the EP finishes on the most sunkissed of notes. partywithray says of the track: “the message is simple – it’s about celebrating self-love and finding someone who treats you right!”
Lil Mama‘ was one of the first records I wrote as partywithray (along with ‘Came for the Low‘). I was so inspired by the vocal processing – it was really a catalyst for the vibe of the project. When I showed the track to ZHU and he added his vocal I was blown away by how cool the two vocal parts sounded together. This is one of my favorite tracks to play live! – partywithray
The follow-up to last year’s EP ‘Rise Up’, there will be a ‘#Partystarters’ release party at Catch One in LA on September 17, ahead of a performance at Escape in San Bernardino on October 30.

The dada technicolor hipster of swag house, LA artist partywithray burst onto the scene in 2019 with debut single ‘Came For The Low’, a down-and-dirty collaboration with longtime musical compatriot ZHU. Coupling a supremely hashtagable moniker with a slyly unique sense of fun, partywithray is the new kid to watch on the scene. Watch out for more ridiculously delectable music from him soon.
